wir haben die Umstände der IJR 2019 noch gar nicht richtig ausdiskutiert, da steht schon die übernächste International Jampot Rally ins Haus...

Ich wurde von Rob Swift, dem Präsidenten des Gesamtclubs angeschrieben, siehe nachfolgend einkopierte Mail. Er lässt anfragen, wie es um unsere Bereitschaft bestellt ist, an einer IJR in Slowenien teilzunehmen. Der vorgesehene Austragungsort Ajdovščina liegt ca. 30 km von der italienisch-slowenischen Grenze entfernt, geographisch gesehen südlich von den österreichischen Städten Villach und Klagenfurt.

Von Rallys und meiner Heimatstadt Kelkheim aus sind das knapp 900 km Fahrt (entsprechend länger von Norden aus, entsprechend kürzer von Süden her). Lasst doch mal hören, wie die allgemeine Bereitschaft ist, eine solche Reise anzutreten. Ich wäre auf jeden Fall dabei, zumal ich diese Ecke Europas überhaupt noch nicht kenne.

Good morning gentlemen
The UK club has been contacted by a group of enthusiasts from Slovenia who have enquired as to whether we would be interested in having an IJR in their country. Their main contact rides an AJS and has a friend in the UK who obviously mentioned that there is a shortage of willing countries to host IJR rallies, hence the UK stepping in to host the 2019 event when in reality we're not due to host till 2022.
The group have recently organised the International Panther Owners rally so are quite used to this sort of thing. The basis would be very much in the way the Portugese rally was put together, local groups acting as hosts and the main club taking care of all bookings etc.
The location of the proposed event is approx 30 miles over the border with Italy in a town called Ajdovscina,
We have provisionally arranged for a 2 man party to fly to the location and meet the group to ensure everything would satisfy our requirements, however ideally I'd like feedback from the international group before fully committing.
I only have those e-mailed in the International contact folder so if you have further contacts of club members from Sweden/Norway/France etc then please pass on this information.
I'd be grateful for your feedback by the end of Nov if at all possible and could you use president@jampot for all replies to keep my main work mailbox free.

Leider hat noch niemand von Euch Rückmeldung gegeben. Aber es gibt doch immer so etwas wie einen "harten Kern", der zu (fast) jeder IJR anreist. Seid doch so gut und gebt ein kurzes Signal - das ist völlig unverbindlich und kostet auch nix...
